So yesterday I spent 2 hours in a queue at the traffic department, to finally arrive at the counter to register my bike. I can't, why? Because the guy I sold my Vespa to in April of 2014 hasn't bothered to register it in his name let alone pay the licence.
Fan-fucking-tastic so I contact the guy, and it's like dude, wtf it's been 2 years why haven't you done it yet? I been in a queue for hours just to find this shit out, now there are penalties and I can't register my bike till its sorted. The guy says he's sorry and he just hasn't got to it but it's at Vespa to be registered as we speak, now I know I'm a gullible twat but seriously after 2 years I'm supposed to believe this. Then he says I don't see why standing in the queue for 2 hours is my problem but I will sort this out.
He's probably right it's not his problem, but had he bothered to stand in a queue two years ago I would have had no reason to speak to the twat, and seriously you funked up and you want to act like a cunt about it??? So the hell with it all, I sent him a message and told him I'm scrapping the Vespa and he can deal with it.
Today I get a call and messages asking me not to scrap the bike and be reasonable, well after 2 more hours in the queue I got my bike registered and the Vespa de-registered.
Another message from him and it's like dude it's done.
His response is to threaten me.... lol
Now I probably am an asshole for having done that, but seriously just how much shit must one actually take from people.
And seriously if you wanted me not to scrap the bike surely treating me like an asshole was not the best way to go about achieving it.
There seems to be a culture of always having to be right, and not taking responsibility for your actions, asshole or not, today I hope I helped him take some responsibility.

So in ending this it begs the question, when wanting something from someone, is it preferable to treat them like assholes or with respect?
Totally understand your frustration, but there is a yellow form you get from the traffic department for when you sell your vehicle. Both you and the buyer fill it in. You, as the seller, can go had this in at the traffic department. The buyer has about 30 days to do the registration. After this it will not be your problem. This is how I did it when I sold my bike. :-)
ReplyDeleteMilo, I loved this... I could visualise you getting pissy. I also remember when we were young, your fuse was way longer than mine! So he deserved it.. :)
